Low-Sodium Dal Tadka

A Flavorful Protein-Rich Lentil Curry

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup yellow moong dal (split yellow lentils)
  • 2 cups water (for cooking)
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped

Instructions

  • Wash the dal thoroughly and pressure cook with turmeric and water until soft.
  • Heat ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds and ginger, and sauté for 1 minute.
  • Add the cooked dal and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with coriander and serve
