Low-Sodium Vegetable Pulao
A Mildly Spiced Rice Dish

Ingredients
1/2 cup basmati rice, rinsed
1/2 cup mixed vegetables (carrot, green beans, peas)
1 tbsp oil
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 cup water
Instructions
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and bay leaf, and sauté for 30 seconds.
Add vegetables, turmeric, and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
Stir in rice and water, then cook on low heat until rice is tender.
Serve with a side of low-sodium yogurt
